Hi everyone—just a quick note before you read the latest TL updates.
I’m releasing this month’s updates early—on the first day of spring this year (or fall, in the southern hemisphere), instead of waiting for TL’s birthday on April 1st.
I love TL, and I love celebrating birthdays, but this isn’t a celebratory time. For what TL stands for at its core, posting today felt like the better choice—not a personal milestone, but a seasonal turning point. Something the world itself recognizes as a transition, and a chance to bring in a new energy around what needs to come to light.
Most people would agree that things aren’t great in the world right now. Frankly, as ever. (“If I had a dime for every time I’ve had to say that,” as they say… Sigh.) The reasons vary depending on who you ask, but it all seems to return to the same thread: carrying something that hurts deeply, while not being seen or heard for it.
And of course, where this comic is all about understanding multiple sides of the story… even when it’s hard or downright ‘unusual’ to do… you might find the following a bit unusual as well. Earlier this month, someone who will remain anonymous requested that I personally make a song for them; i.e., not via Sanji’s voice, just my own singing self. I accepted their request, even though they don’t read TL, and yes, they’re completely fine with me saying that.
This person is carrying a very harsh kind of pain that rarely gets space to be safely expressed. Since they appreciate my music, they’ve asked me to express their pain in a song— where to be clear, this isn’t my pain: it’s theirs, carried through my voice, and translated and composed into song for them.
The song itself isn’t part of Torus Link’s main canon. That said, truly stepping into another person’s shoes— listening and understanding their feelings, even beyond initial judgements or where we don’t fully align— is very much a core TL theme. And so, the person who has requested this song is okay with me sharing it with you from a “TL-adjacent space” for a short time.
If you’re curious about this song and understanding this person’s feelings, (perhaps even resonating with them yourself), you can access the link to it here. The song will remain public and unlisted until May 1st, 2026.
That’s it for now, everyone. Hope you enjoy the main story as it continues. You can read Side B’s latest pages via the arrows below.
